Mechanical Design

XP's mechanical engineers have over 40 years' combined design experience. Their services include solid model enclosure design, thermal analysis, machined parts, and customer-specific interface designs. Solid Modeling saves the customer time and money by allowing for a form and fit check without waiting for material and manufacturing lead time and before spending money on costly material. Our mechanical engineering team is available to review your system with you in person or remotely to ensure they have first hand knowledge of your design goals and needs. Electrical Design

Printed Circuit Board Design

Time to market is critical for many of our customers. XP's in house circuit board design and layout capabilities allow for fluid and timely electrical assemblies. Changes to designs are a necessary part of the development process; however, those changes can mean time lost if they require communication between engineering resources that are not working together on a continuous basis.

Safety & Compliance
Safety agency compliance is necessary to get your product to market. That compliance starts at the power supply as it is often the first component in your system to see an external interface. That means your power solution must be designed to meet UL, TUV, CE and a number of medical, communications, military and harsh environment standards.

Power Assembly Testing

XP prides itself on quality and consistent manufacturing which translates to reliability and more time spent working on your products, not worrying about ours. We test 100% of all units shipped from our Engineering Services group. Each assembly is serial numbered and the respective test report for that unit is attached to the unit as an assurance that the unit has been tested. Standard testing includes HI Pot, input and output voltage regulation at various loads to confirm the product shipped meets the agreed upon test parameters discuss as part of the formal proposal process.

System specific testing can also be provided using exacting loading and configuration characteristics to include Hotswap, redundant testing using customer backplanes and environmental testing to ensure proper operation across extended temperature ranges.
